Key Responsibilities:

 

Our UX Researcher works closely with clients, designers and the software delivery teams to translate business requirements and user needs into meaningful service concepts and execution plans.

 

Our UX Researcher knows how to navigate ambiguity and balance customer expectations with product requirements and project constraints. In addition to having a problem solving mindset, the UX Lead is often tasked to work with Service Designers to uncover user problems using Lean UX, Design Thinking and Scrum methodologies.

 

Our UX Researcher drives our customers success by collaborating with fellow designers, user researchers and program managers to express early service/product concepts through a variety of prototyping methods such as sketching, storyboarding, interactive prototypes, user scenarios and wireframes. The UX Lead is able to create test scenarios, validate assumptions, gather, decode and translate user feedback into intentional design decisions.

 

Our successful UX Lead partners with clients, developers, product management, designers, and testers to chart a course between vision and reality, and to bring the product home. The UX Designer is the "face" of design to the client, and as such should be able to demonstrate thought leadership in addition to excellent communication and presentation skills.


Required Skills/Certifications:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years industry experience.

  • Design and specify user interfaces, services, and multi-touchpoint experiences using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.

  • Ability to discover, understand, and communicate the business requirement

  • Knowledgeable of design patterns and how to apply them within a variety of contexts (vehicle, mobile, web, etc.)

  • Experience with applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research

  • Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Adobe Suite, Sketch inVision, etc.

  • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, etc.)

  • Knowledge of technology and the impact on the feasibility of design solutions, including the capabilities and limitations of modern web, mobile, and wearable technologies

 

Standout Qualities:

  • Advanced degree in Psychology, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.

  • Mobile technology & platform design experience

  • Experience within retail, manufacturing, finance, automotive, healthcare, travel & hospitality industries

  • Understanding of agile development best practices
